About Natalie

A woman with short brown hair, wearing a white shirt, smiling with arms crossed against a gray background.

Natalie Aviles, a skilled Registered Massage Therapist, specializes in addressing the diverse needs of patients dealing with chronic and acute pain, both pre and post-surgeries. Her expertise extends across all age groups and professions, ranging from desk workers to professional athletes. With a rich background of 9 years in Multi-Disciplinary and Physiotherapy clinics, In 2023 Natalie embarked on a new journey by founding Be In Balance Massage Therapy in the heart of Toronto, at Yonge and St. Clair.

Having emerged from a competitive athletic background, Natalie possesses a profound understanding of the intricacies of the human body. Drawing from personal experiences recovering from multiple injuries and chronic pain, she intimately comprehends the challenges of the recovery and rehabilitation process.

Natalie's athletic journey, which began at the age of 6 as a competitive runner and swimmer, evolved into competing internationally and eventually transitioned into competing as a Triathlete. However, a major car accident at the age of 21 resulted in a subluxed hip, multiple broken ribs, and significant mobility challenges. Battling chronic pain and its aftermath, including digestive and reproductive issues due to prolonged pharmaceutical use, Natalie explored various multidisciplinary therapies.

After 10 years of chronic pain, Natalie discovered the transformative benefits of The Gilbert Method (TGM) during her massage therapy sessions. This approach not only alleviated her pain but also allowed her to gradually discontinue the pharmaceuticals she had relied on for years. As her mobility improved, Natalie embraced strength training and learned the importance of the mind-body connection, breath work, proper body mechanics, and safe training practices.

Now an advocate for active living, Natalie engages in diverse activities such as weight lifting, running, biking, hiking, snowboarding, yoga, and meditation. Her personal journey of rehabilitation led her to a profound shift in understanding the human body, motivating her to transition from a 15-year career as a registered dental technician to pursue a second career as a Registered Massage Therapist.

Natalie is deeply committed to enhancing her personal well-being through consistently working on self care and fostering holistic healing for her mind, body, and soul. Simultaneously, she passionately devotes herself to aiding others on their unique healing journeys as well.
